Why photography

Still the first thing a guest sees, on every channel

Before anyone reads a word about your property they look at the pictures: on your website, on Booking.com and Expedia, on your Google Business Profile, on Instagram. Weak or inconsistent photos cost you bookings quietly, because people move on to the next listing without telling you why.

A professional library fixes that everywhere at once. The same look on every channel, every room type shown properly, the setting given the space it deserves, and enough variety that your marketing does not repeat the same six images for three years.

What I photograph

The whole stay, not just the rooms

Every room type and suite, bathrooms, dining and lounge spaces, the spa, the hot tub, the deck at dusk. Exteriors in the best light of the day, with interiors lit so they glow. The activities that define the experience, with real guests and guides where possible. Food and drink. Staff portraits. The small details that justify the rate. And the landscape itself: I will happily be out at twilight, again at 2 am for the Milky Way, and again for sunrise.

Delivery

Organized, retouched and ready to upload

Depending on the size of the property you receive somewhere between 40 and 150 finished images, retouched and colour-graded, organized by space, and supplied in full resolution for print alongside web-sized versions. Full usage rights are included, so you can use the images on booking platforms, in ads, in brochures and with press for as long as you like.

What clients say

Cindy Galligan

Ben did a great job of capturing Mistaya Lodge and the WildCat Valley. I saw him once at twilight shooting a sunset, again at 2 am shooting the Milky Way, and a few hours later shooting the sunrise. Who does that? We loved working with Ben, and we love our virtual tour.

Outstanding to work with! Ben captured eye-catching, high-quality online marketing content for our 'island in the sky' backcountry lodge. It helps us stand out by showing the unique and elevated experience that our guests enjoy.

Tell me about your property and what you need. I will come back with options and a quote.

01

Discovery call

We discuss your property, goals, and what content will move the needle. No pressure or jargon: just a conversation about what you need and how we'd work together.

02

On-site shoot

I travel to your location, combining photo, video, drone, and virtual tour in one visit where possible. Remote and fly-in properties are a specialty.

03

Edit and refine

You receive a first cut for review, typically within two to three weeks of the shoot. We refine until you're completely satisfied.

04

Deliver and deploy

Full usage rights, high-resolution originals, and organized file delivery, ready for your website, booking platforms, social channels, and press.

How many photos will we receive?

It depends on the property. A single vacation rental might need 40 finished images; a lodge with several cabins, dining, activities and landscape typically ends up between 80 and 150. We agree the scope before the shoot.

Do we need to stage the rooms?

I send a short prep checklist before the shoot covering the things that make the biggest difference: linens, lighting, clutter, and what to have on hand for dining shots. On the day I style each space with your team as we go.

Can you photograph with guests or models?

Yes. Lifestyle images with real people are often the ones that perform best. Willing guests and staff usually work well, and I bring release forms so you can use the images commercially.

Can we use the images on Booking.com, Expedia and Airbnb?

Yes. Full usage rights are included, so the images can go on any booking platform, your website, social channels, print and press.

Do you shoot more than one season?

Often, yes. Many properties book a summer shoot and a winter shoot so their marketing matches what guests will actually see. Return visits are priced lower because the planning is already done.

How long until we receive the images?

Finished galleries are typically delivered within two to three weeks of the shoot. If you have a launch deadline, tell me and I will prioritize the images you need first.

Can you combine photography with video and a virtual tour?

Yes, and it is the most efficient way to do it. One trip covers photography, video, drone and a 360° tour, with a consistent look across everything and a lower total cost.
